It is now nearly three weeks since a very bewildered little dog was brought into the Packham household from the dog rescue in Rotherham. She has been taken from the pound to the safety of the rescue centre. She is now quietly settling in to her new surroundings and loves people especially Holly who has been teaching her how to play (we feel she had just been used for breeding and outlived her usefulness) She loves her walks, chew sticks and lots of loving and is proving to be a new friend for Les and his travels.
The dedicated people who run the very many rescue centres are to be applauded for all their hard work and dedication to the safety of so many unwanted and unloved animals. Over the years the dogs we have rescued have proved to be excellent and just in need of a good loving home.

Les and Stans travels will continue in its present form as a tribute to Stan who proved to be a faithful companion to Les on all his travels round Yorkshire. He was always at Les's side and they only visited dog friendly establishments. Stan will be sorely missed but fondly remembered by all who knew him but most of all Les and Judy.

Les and Stan spent most of their time travelling around Yorkshire. Les is usually busy painting some of the lovely scenery and Stan just liked to ride in the car and then to have a nice walk. They would often visit small tea rooms and the odd hostelry and they always take note of where they have been made most welcome especially Stan. Now Bronte will take over the mantle and keep Les company on his travels. If you have a favourite tea room or pub please let us know and we will give it a try. We can recommend the following featured tea rooms.

Stan has just found the perfect place for a holiday - Cornwall! He had a lovely time and was made welcome where ever he went. A visit to the Eden Project was effortless as they provided a dog shelter and Stan was left comfortable whilst Les and Judy enjoyed their time looking round. Accomodation was found at the museum of Magnificent Music Machines near Liskeard, where a very warm welcome was made for Stan including a box of Bonios. A perfect time was had by all and if you are looking for a warm welcome for people and dogs then Cornwall is the place to be.

Stan is in a state of excitement it is that time of year when he goes to visit Horticap in Harrogate and help with their backdrop for the Great Yorkshire Show. Stan has lots of friends at Horticap and looks forward to wandering round the beautiful gardens and watering the plants and trees for them. So he is at the moment collecting all his brushes, paints and of course the essential water bowl in anticipation of the visit.
